SUPPORT · PREVIEW 1.0.0

Know what was checked.

Adapters are deliberately narrow. Retailer pages change; missing or conflicting evidence must be reviewed manually.

Supported pages and live evidence

Inspected September 7, 2026. US pages only. These are independent retailer adapters, not retailer integrations or endorsements.

Article · standard product pages

The Sven 88-inch sofa, Hale Warm Gray page exposed selected fabric radio controls, SKU25171, General Dimensions and Wood Stain. The adapter reads checked fabric controls and visible specification rows. Recommendations elsewhere on the page are excluded.

Base-model pairing uses the leading collection name, such as Sven. Products within a collection may differ; confirm the pairing and check the exact SKU. Quantity, price currency and destination may be unverified. Bundles, custom planners and checkout/payment pages are outside support.

IKEA US · standard product pages

The KIVIK sofa, Tallmyra blue page exposed the selected cover, article number 594.997.09 and labeled measurements. Open the Measurements tab so the measurement rows are visible. The live extraction captured the selected cover and dimensions; its article identifier remained unverified because a visible qualifying label was absent. The adapter accepts explicitly labeled article numbers only when visible and nonconflicting. It never substitutes an identifier from the URL.

Product-page quantity may be absent. Multi-part combinations are not audited component by component. Planners, other locales and physical fit are outside support.

Live carts · not yet verified

Article and IKEA guest carts were inspected in an empty state. The extension recognizes the empty-cart messages, but populated live cart extraction is not enabled in this release. The cart demo and its automated multi-line tests use clearly labeled synthetic fixtures. They do not establish live cart compatibility.

If a value is unverified

  1. Check the selected project and pair the correct approved item.
  2. Make sure the product page has loaded. Open Specifications or Measurements.
  3. Start a new check after a navigation or approval change.
  4. If the value is still absent or ambiguous, verify it on the retailer’s final order or with the retailer directly.

A missing value never means it matches. Do not replace the approved baseline with an observed cart value just to clear a warning.

Import and backup help

Dimensions require explicit units, such as 84 in or 213.36 cm. Quantity is a whole number from 1 to 9999. Use exact finish/fabric codes where the retailer supplies them; names are compared literally when no code is available. Item IDs must be unique inside each project.

A duplicate item ID cannot silently replace an approval. Use Approved library → Review / revise, enter the reason and confirm the new approval. Use Local data to export, restore or delete records.

Test the extension with fictional data

No login or paid account is required. These steps use the installed extension’s built-in temporary demo.

  1. Open SpecLatch and choose Try synthetic demo. Click Check my cart.
  2. Pair line 1 with LIVING-01 / Harper sofa and line 2 with LIVING-02 / Arden side table. The first has size, fabric and code mismatches; the second matches applicable fields.
  3. Choose Use approved selections: both match. Choose 213.36 cm: width still matches 84 in. Set quantity to 3: quantity mismatches. Hide depth evidence: the first item becomes unverified.
  4. Pair both lines with one approval to see ambiguous pairing. Return to the real workspace to create a project, import your CSV, review and confirm the baseline.
  5. In Approved library, Review / revise requires a reason and confirmation. Check the earlier version in History. Use Local data to export a backup, then test restoration with disposable sample records.
  6. For live extraction, open a supported product URL above, invoke the extension on that tab, start a check and pair a deliberately created approved record. Open Specifications or Measurements to expose available values. Missing fields stay unverified.

The fictional cart exercises the comparator. It does not establish populated live cart support.

Reporting a problem

For this initial preview, support is provided through this guide. A direct support contact has not yet been configured. Do not send client records to unrelated retailer support channels.

When documenting an adapter issue, keep the extension version, public product URL, field name, expected value and observed behavior. Use fictional values or redact client information. Never include payment data, passwords or delivery addresses.

Release scope

No claim is made about error prevention, time saved or compatibility with arbitrary sites. Pricing and commercial demand remain unvalidated. This preview is free; there is no subscription checkout.
